After thumping 6 goals past Western region side Tiles and Terrazo in the Stanbic Cup, Maroons FC travelled to Arua for Big League Match Day 4 for another yet hotly contested game against Calvary FC.
Maroons FC was riding on an unbeaten run in the big league and other competitions with only one point separating them from league leadership.
Calvary FC who had previously drawn against Mbale Heroes and are 3rd on the log hoped to make up for their slow and strugglin
The game started on a high and Calvary drew first blood two minutes after kickoff through an early penalty by Julius Malingumu that was decided after Julius was brought down by Maroons FC defender Opio Belmos.
Maroons FC kept on fighting to restore parity with lethal attacker Fred Amaku trying but failing to utilize Emmanuel Olinga’s cross from the left wing 39 minutes into the game.
Attack after attack Maroons FC kept on pushing with Vincent Zziwa and Tusubira Abraham constantly daring for goal which unfortunately did not mature as expected thanks to Calvary FC's goalkeeper who pulled off some very crucial saves.

Maroons FC got their first and only goal through a strike by Pius Obuya minutes into the second half that gave the team more confidence to push harder for an equalizer. However fate was not on their side and they fell to a 2-1 loss against Calvary FC.
Maroons FC host Mbale Heroes this Sunday 18th April 2021 in yet another highly contested clash of the titans at Maroons FC's Luzira Prisons Stadium.
The game that is slated to attract different media practitioners from various media houses in Kampala, Mbale and other parts of Uganda will start at 1600 hrs GMT.
All Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures according to Uganda Government and FUFA rules and regulations will be followed and All Media practitioners are requested and advised to fill the accreditation form to avoid being rejected entry into the stadium.
