Maroons FC shall play host to 8th placed Bright Stars FC in the Uganda Premier League match day 16.

During the first round of the compaign at Kavumba Recreational Center, it ended in a barren stalemate with high intensities from both sides.

The Senfuma Mohammed charges are hoping to maintain a perfect home record having lost only once to Blacks Power in this 2022/23 edition of the Uganda Premeir League.

Maroons FC Team News.

Godwin Kitagenda, Norman Odipio, Jacob Okao, Haddad Kambuga resumed full training after missing an important away win to Busoga United and are readily available for selection.

Ronald Orombi successfully recovered from Eye infections and he is fully fit also available for selection.

Noel Nasasira and Ronald Nizeyimana are unavailable due to minor injuries but are expected to resume training in the course of next week.

Sula Mpanga will duly miss the game as he continues to work on his fitness on Rehabilitation Programs.

David Ndihabwe is ruled out for a long term due to toe injury on his 5th Metatarsal bone.

While speaking to, Senfuma Mohammed had this to say

"We have been so hard lately in our training grounds boosted by the timely return of Godwin Kitagenda, Norman Odipio, Jacob Okao, Haddad Kambuga. The boys are fi
t mentally for the game, we played 0-0 in the first round but that doesn't make us better than them at all. They have quality in the technical steered by Asaph Mwebaze who believes much in pressing football methodology while also defending perfectly well. We are aware of the threat they will portray".

"Football wise, winning brings everything together, we are always challenge to represent our club in every possible way," he said.

"We can be much better as Maroons, as a club and as a team. Those are the demands we have to put on ourselves by doing the right things every day as our main focus".
