Maroons FC boss Senfuma Mohammed has added to the back room team with appointment of Godfrey Wasswa as his assistant coach.

The former Rayon Sports striker was a boyhood One Force fan having admired the playing style of Maroons for long while both as a coach and player.

The CAF B licensed gaffer also once represented Mukono United, Kampala United and Mbarara United in Uganda; Mukungwa 408 and Rayon Sports in the Rwandan Premier League during his distinguished career.

His latest job placement witnessed him at Kampala regional side Black Star Masanafu and Busiro Royals as head coach.

Wasswa left his recent post as Assistant to Sadiq Sempijja at Mbarara City following the expiration of his employment contract.

The ex-forward will specialise in coaching attacking plays, game intelligence, technique, physique and positioning.

"As Coaches,
we have laid our objectives very clear as maintaining the team in the top league for long with good mid table finishes. Actually Maroons is always somewhere with the quality of Players it has, I will coach all players with humility, integrity and professionalism", he added.

The full set up of the coaching staff are already in place ahead 2022/23 Uganda Premier League football season with the opener expected either in late September or early October.

Senfuma will closely work with other Assistants and Club legends James Chemari, Sida Alex, Maxwell Okello, Justin Okullo and Simon Peter Ochuka who shall also oversee the development pathways from Academy to the first team, plus monitoring players out on loan.

Rogers Tezigwa and George Sebuliba are the goal Keeping coaches.
