Fred Amaku commits future to Maroons FC

Maroons FC is delighted to confirm that Lanky forward Fred Amaku has signed a new two-year contract extension with the Luzira based side that will keep him at the club upto 2024.

The 21-old striker has been part of the club since 2019 during the team’s adventure in the Uganda Premier League League and played a starring role in the club’s recent promotion into the top flight emerging as the top scorer of the FUFA Big League having scored 14 goals in 17 appearances.

rawn towards scoring more goals and aid the club gain a better finish at the end of season".

"I am feeling good, enjoying my football more than ever and, most importantly, I feel I am making a contribution to the team," Amaku said.

 "This is an exciting team to be part of, a rich history, with great team spirit, and we are again pushing for making history as we head towards the business end of the season."

The clinical finisher had an impressive 2017-18 season at Busoga United that saw him score eight goals but injuries limited him to few appearances and three goals in the next campaign prior to joining Maroons i
n 2019, he previously featured for Onduparaka FC.

"What I can say positive about Amaku has already been said by many, he is an exceptional talent" Senfuma Mouhamoud noted, "he has fantastic energy for the game and the club, so joyous to watch". We are lucky to have him again.

Ronald Orombi, Emmanuel Akol, Godwin Kitagenda, Felix Okot, Ceaser Olega, Abraham Tusubira, Edward Kabona and Solomon Walusimbi are other players who signed contract extensions of two years with the club.
