Today, Maroons FC officials; CEO Pius Bamwange and Media Attache Fred Akena attended the FUFA-UEFA Assist League Development Programme centered on brand communication, marketing and fans’engagement as guided by Mr. Kenneth Macleod, a UEFA League Development Expert at Imperial Royal Hotel, Kampala.

Earlier in the morning while tackling Financial Management, Pius Bamwange, the CEO at Maroons FC shared wealth of experience he has had at different clubs indicating not so many clubs in Uganda respect budgeting processes.

Later in the aafternoon, emphasis was hinge
d on three key aspects ranging from Brand development, Digital/Social media and content creation in Football.

On brand development, Macleod advised participants to make Club brands unique and appeal to the fans more, some thing that will be achieved at Maroons FC soonest as the club prepares for the Uganda Premeir League show down.

While speaking to maroonsfc.co.ug, Fred Akena had this to say, "We feel this is going to be of great input in developing that sector, within Maroons, in the past, the club has laid out a lot of strategies in developing the online image through regular presence, we are privileged to have a fully functioning website
and our presence on social media is good".

He noted that they need alot to improve, we are going to see the evolution of Maroons FC TV, we want to create a Maroons App as we move to find the best ways to engage our fans, this is an opportunity and we appreciate FUFA for bringing this initiative.

Discussions continue tomorrow on Matchday operations and Stadium management and income generation.
