‘I cannot be in a better place other than Maroons’: Senfuma Mohammed extends stay
Maroons FC Headcoach Mohammed Senfuma has signed a three-year contract extension committing him to the club until 2026.
The Head coach's terms were due to expire in June 2023 and he has agreed the renewal during this ongoing off season period ahead of the next compaign commencing in September.
Speaking after signing the new contract, Senfuma insisted that he “cannot be in a better place other than Maroons”.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to challenge for more, I am so pleased to be staying at the Club that ga
ve me the platform of excelling for another three years."
He added: "I can't say thank you enough to everyone at the club especially the Board Chairman and the CEO for investing enough trust me. I am indeed very very happy and very comfortable since I have everything I need to execute my job as best as possible ranging from the players, coaches and the fans.
"I understand that the coming chapter of this club will be so amazing for a couple of years ahead of us because this club is so stable under the new board."
"I still have the feeling that there is so much more we can achieve together and that is why I want to stay
and continue fighting for a better future here."
Maroons CEO Roderick Muhumuza said he was "delighted" to extend Senfuma's contract after an agreement was met with the Board.
Senfuma has already contributed so much to the success of this institution having attained the highest mark in the Club's history, and it's exciting to think what might be possible given the energy and ambition that he and his team clearly still have," said Roderick.
"Like every Maroons fan, we are looking forward to what lies ahead, we shall continue to encourage every supporter and stakeholder to partner with the Club."
Senfuma’s renewed commitment is a sizeable fillip to the club as they continue the process of renewing the squad and adding fresh competition in the Uganda Cup and Uganda Premeir League.
